Arizona is a state in the United States of America. It is located in the southwestern part of the country and has the highest elevation in the lower 48 states. It is bordered by New Mexico to the east, Utah to the north, Nevada to the west, and California to the south.

The climate of Arizona varies greatly throughout the state. Some places are deserts with hot summers and little precipitation, while others are semi-arid with cool summers and heavy rainfall.

The winter storm that slammed the state last week brought snow to parts of the state for the first time since 2003. It dumped snow at elevations of up to 6,500 feet, and at lower elevations, the storm brought enough rain and flooding to cause extensive damage to roads, homes, businesses, and infrastructure.
